I just heard that Anthony has passed away and my deepest condolence, my heartfelt love and sympathy goes to Maria and his whole family.In 1991, I escaped from a Chinese government delegation in London, and for few years I had great difficulty in gaining refugee status. Fortunately Anthony while visiting Tibet learned from his Tibetan friends about some of my acts of conscience, though we have never met, he invited me for dinner and was very kind and caring ever since, in particular, he wholeheartedly supported my case. I met Anthony in the early 1980s in London, through a publishing connection. The books were magnificent and a great contribution to art, design, and culture. Books are a snapshot of our world, and Anthony's legacy here is enormous.
